Thread gage is common used in threadedinspection of bimetallic thermometer.

Thread gage, also known as go-no go gage ,is usually used to check whether the size of thread is correct. The thread sizeconsists of the diameter of the thread and the pitch of the screw.

The size of the thread should be knownbefore select the thread gage.

According to the internal and externalscrew, the thread gages divided into plug gage , ring gage and tooth type gage.

The Plug gage is used ot check the size ofthe  female thread.

The ring gage is used to check the size ofthe male thread.

The thread ring gauge is used to measurethe accuracy of the size of the external thread. According to the different standardof the thread, there are 1 pieces and some 2.  The thread gages are usually used inmanufacturing to  facilitate the quality control.

The tooth gage normally used in production, a set tooth gage includes the common tooth shape, sizes:.0.5/0.6/0.7/0.75/0.8/0.9/1.0/1.25/1.5/1.75/27, the distance of the unknown thread can be confirmed if the alignment ofthe gage match the tooth of the thread..
